Top 6 Magic Wand Massagers in the UK

What’s the difference between a magic wand massager and a magic wand vibrator?

There is no difference at all, they’re both entirely the same thing. Both vibrate, and can be used for massaging.

Traditionally these were, and still are, all over body massagers. More recently, they’ve been used and marketed as a sex toy as well because they are amazing for using on your genital areas as well for both men and women and giving you stong, deep orgasms.

Here are my top 6 magic wand massagers in the UK.

1. Lovehoney Deluxe Magic Wand Vibrator

lovehoney deluxe magic wand massagers

The Lovehoney Delux Magic Wand Massager has been around now for several years and it’s been gradually getting improved. Lovehoney describe it as “stronger, quieter and more powerful than ever before”.

This is one of my all time favourite magic wand massagers. Let’s take a closer look at why…

The Lovehoney Deluxe has a long list of key features. The first being that it’s essentially a UK version of the Hitachi Magic Wand Massager. You can read more about this and why it’s not available in the UK in my post Hitachi Magic Wand Alternative.

It has loads of different speeds to try out and is easily powerful to be used as an all over body massager, not just for those intimate areas. Let it work out any knots and muscle tension as you relax and let your wand massager do all the work.

The Deluxe is controlled with a scroll wheels that moves you through the different speeds and vibrations.

It’s mains-operated and thank goodness because I don’t think batteries would last very long with this magic wand massager! The UK plug has a lead length of 1.8 metres so it’s nice and long and will be able to reach from your socket to your bed.

This wand massager feels firm but is also nice and soft. You could leave a dent in the head with your nail if you wanted to, so it’s quite squashy.

The head is also nice and flexible and it moves around in whatever direction you want it to.

Pros of the Deluxe

There are currently a huge 719 reviews on the Lovehoney website with really indepth reviews on this magic wand massager. The average of those 719 reviews is 4.5 stars out of 5.

That’s a really high score, and I definitely recommend you have a read of some of those to find out more about what other people are saying before you buy this for your own piece of mind that you are buying a brilliant magic wand!

There are also some really good video reviews you can watch too.

I love the quirky review by Vanessa Pelz-Sharpe. She certainly loves her wand!

Watch Vanessa’s review of the Deluxe.

And like most Lovehoney sex toys, there’s a video review by Annabelle Knight.

This wand has so many uses; you can use it all over your body on tired aching muscles, followed by finishing off on your genital area and giving yourself a powerful whole body orgasm.

I love that it’s mains-powered and has a nice long lead.

You can buy all sorts of attachments for it and turn into the ultimate sex toy. Attachments include the G-spot Pleaser, Rabbit Tip and Hummer Male Masturbator.

Cons of the Deluxe

The only really con for me is that it’s not the quietest of sex toys on the highest setting. Some reviewers have said it’s loud. But with all that power, and it’s a big mains-powered toy, it’s going to have some volume to it.

As you will see if you wash Vanessa’s video, she shows you how loud it gets and it’s when it’s on a high setting that the pitch gets quite high. Watch it and make your own mind up.

Personally I wouldn’t let that put you off because the benefits and what you get out of using a magic wand massager vastly outweigh this.

Overall this is a good quality magic wand massager, and a very popular one for a good price. Being a Lovehoney product, you can only buy it from Lovehoney.

Investment: £89.99 including delivery.

2. The Doxy Extra Powerful UK Magic Wand Massager

doxy-magic-wand-vibrator-black

Next up is the UK Doxy magic wand massager which is available at a few different online shops which I’ll include below.

The Doxy is 30% more powerful than the famous Hitachi wand, and like the Lovehoney wand has lots of different speeds and patterns to play with. This is a very powerful magic wand massager indeed and you can watch it in action in Annabelle Knight’s video review.

It’s mains-powered, as you would expect with such power, and has a cast aluminium head with a soft cushioned hypoallergenic medical grade cover meaning it is fairly heavy but clearly very well built and solid, and the head is lovely to touch.

Remember to use water-based lube on the head as oil-based lubes can end up degrading your toys and you don’t want that happening, especially with a more expensive toy. It isn’t waterproof so wash it carefully with a damp cloth (unplugged) or some special sex toy cleaning wipes.

The cable for the Doxy is 3 metres long which is fantastic. I really like that about this wand massager. No need for an extension cable here.

It has a separate on/off button, as well as two other buttons to control the speeds and vibrations. It is self explanatory to use.

The Doxy wand massager comes in four different colours to suit all tastes. There’s black, pink, purple and white. I think my favourite is the purple. It looks nice and girly but also still very classy.

Pros of the Doxy

Unlike other wands, the Doxy has a secret escalating mode, where it starts off slow and gradually builds up to a much higher intensity. This is activated by holding down the plus button on the wand.

The Doxy has loads of power, and is a well built toy, designed and manufactured entirely in the UK. The long 3 metre lead is also a big pro.

Like other magic wand massagers, I love how you can use this all over your body to really relieve any muscle tensions, (especially all over your back, neck and shoulders), and you can also cover the head with slippery water-based lube and give yourself a delicious orgasm after getting rid of all that tension.

Cons of the Doxy

The two main cons for me were that this is a loud magic wand massager, but again, it’s powerful. And with immense power comes sound from the vibrations.

Saying that, other reviewers haven’t been put off at all by the sound, and the Doxy has so far received 53 all positive reviews on Lovehoney, a single 5 star review on Anne Summers, and all 5 star reviews on Bondara.

Clearly despite it’s sound, it’s still a popular magic wand massager with a lot of people.

Secondly it has a higher price than some other wand massagers. The Doxy is 30% more powerful though, so you will have decide if the extra power is worth the extra money to you. To some, it will totally be worth spending that extra.

3. The Tracey Cox Supersex Wand Vibrator

tracey cox supersex wand vibrator

I wanted to include a lower priced option in this top 6 magic wand massagers in the UK to give you a wide range of quality wands to consider for all budgets.

The Tracey Cox Supersex Wand Vibrator is a beautiful and sleek, high quality wand, yet it’s at the much lower end of the pricing scale of wands. This is largely due it being around half the size of other magic wand massagers.

It’s made of lovely soft silicone and has a nice flexible, bendy head for using it anywhere on the body you want it to. You switch it on, off and move through it’s 10 different functions using its single push button.

It’s really important to use water-based lube with this wand being entirely silicone, as oil-based lubes would eventually degrade the coating. Oil and silicone don’t go together well.

This wand is powered by two AA batteries. This is quite unusual for a magic wand massager as many are main-powered. So this is something to be aware of again. This is another reason why this wand is lower in price than other wands, it’s battery powered and battery powered toys are always quite a bit cheaper.

tracey cos super sex wand

Despite being battery-powered it is still a very powerful wand massager, as you will see if you watch the video review. To insert the batteries you just unscrew the base and pop them in.

When you come to wash the Tracey Cox Supersex Wand Vibrator, bear in mind that it’s not water-proof, it’s splash-proof. What this means it, you can’t submerge it or it will get damaged. But it can get wet whilst you wash it with a cloth and some mild soap, without holding it underwater, or use some sex toy cleaning wipes.

Pros of the Supersex

The Tracey Cox Supersex Wand is by far another very popular wand that’s got 51 all excellent reviews. Have a read of them and see what you think, and you can also watch Annabelle Knight doing her thing in her video review.

Despite being a smaller wand, and battery-powered it has loads of power. It’s great for working out shoulder knots, and clitoral stimulation.

The 10 patterns are especially good and it’s fun to experiment with them and see which you like best.

It’s a low price compared to other wands and is nice and light to hold.

Cons of the Supersex

This wand is a lot smaller than other magic wand massagers at 7 inches long, so that is something to be aware of and isn’t as easy to reach some parts of your body as with a bigger wand, but it is also a lot lighter which makes up for this.

Other wands tend to be around 15 inches long. However a smaller wand is better for travel so if you intend to be taking your wand away with you, this is something to consider.

It’s battery-powered, meaning you will need to stock up on AA batteries. And it also doesn’t come with batteries so many sure you order some at the same time, or check you’ve already got some in the house ready for when it arrives.

As far as I’m aware you can only buy Tracey Cox sex toys at Lovehoney, which is fine but I whenever possible I do like to give as many options as possible.

Investment: £39.99 including delivery at Lovehoney.

4. Bodywand Magic Wand Vibrator

bodywand magic wand massager review

I couldn’t have a top 6 UK magic wand massagers without including the Bodywand. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to work out that the Bodywand, is a wand massager for your whole body, as well as a good powerful sex toy. It’s a classic magic wand massager and has been around for a long time already.

What I find pretty incredible about the Bodywand, is that on the Lovehoney website alone, where I first discovered this wand massager, it has received ALL 5 star reviews and there’s 118 of them. This is really rare. Usually there’s someone who is disgruntled about something.

bodywand massager review

There is a good mix of reviews from both men and women, demonstrating the versatility of the magic wand.

At one point this was exclusive to Lovehoney but it looks like you can now also buy this at Bondara too which I’ll include below.

The head on the Bodywand is nice and soft and flexible but firm. It’s made of rubber and so good for working out knots and aches and pains.

It’s powered by a scroll wheel which you use to switch it on, off and scroll through the different speed settings. Depending on what you’re using it for will determine the speed you want. It’s easy to scroll the wheel up and down slightly whilst you’re using the wand if you decide you want a higher or lower vibration intensity.

It’s clearly a well built magic wand and is one of the most powerful wands you can buy.

Pros of the Bodywand

Seriously, you only have to read the 118 reviews I mentioned to see how good this wand massager is.

It’s main-powered with a 1.8 metre cable and packed full of power. With mains-powered toys you’re never going to run out of charge or have to keep buying batteries.

It’s so good for deep tissue stimulation to work out any tightness and knots in your body anywhere. The handle is nice and long so you can reach all over nice and easily.

There are loads of attachments you can add like the G-spot or the rabbit attachments so this wand you could say has it all.

Cons of the Bodywand

The only cons for me are that at higher speeds it gets louder and louder. I’m going to end up saying this con for every wand though because they are big powerful toys, and that’s just how it is. I mean when you’re on the mega bone rattling high vibration settings, which not everyone will use.

Secondly, Bodywands and magic wands in general are a little more expensive than your average sex toy. But they can also do a lot more for your entire body and they’re also a good pamper product, not just for orgasming with.

Essential for people who work on computers a lot and get knotty shoulders!

One reviewer said a con was that all her other sex toys have become redundant since she bought it. Oops!

5. Lelo Smart Wand Massager

lelo smart wand massager review

My regular readers will know that I love Lelo toys. They’re incredibly high end and luxury toys, but with that also comes a high price tag so they’re not for everyone. Being one of my favourite brands though, I had to include the Lelo Smart Wand in my top 6 UK magic wand massagers.

What’s so special about the Lelo Smart Wand you ask?

The Smart Wand really is smart and has a feature called the sense touch mode. What this does it, it knows when it’s touching skin, and the harder you press it to your skin, the more powerful the vibration; and the more lightly you touch it to your skin, the more gentle the vibrations.

This is very intelligent and something that other magic wand massagers just don’t have.

lelo smart magic wand vibrator review

The Smart Wand comes in two sizes, medium and large so the size you go for comes down to personal preference. Personally, I’d recommend you go for the large, because you get more of it, and I’m one of those people who would regret going for a smaller option when there is a bigger one I could have got.

When you’re already spending the money for a medium, a little more for the large doesn’t make that big a difference in the scheme of things. But that’s just my opinion and there are many people who are very happy with the medium sized Smart Wand.

As well as the two different sizes, each of these also comes in black, purple and white. My favourite, is the large in purple.

The Smart Wand is made from medical grade silicone and feels soft and well made. I especially love the curved shape, it makes it easy to get to places on your back and shoulders where we all need to massage every now and then.

Like other magic wand massagers, you can use this for all over body and deep tissue massage, or intimate pleasure. Remember to use a water-based lube with it.

What’s different about the Smart Wand compared to the other magic wand massagers we’ve look at it, is that this one is rechargeable. The others have either been mains powered whilst you use it, or battery-powered. This one, you charge it up and it doesn’t have to be plugged in whilst you’re using it.

It takes 2 hours to charge for 2 hours of use. There are plus and minus buttons on the front to control the wand.

Pros of the Smart Wand

There’s the sense touch mode which is brilliant, as well as lots of vibration patterns and speeds to experiment with.

I haven’t mentioned the packaging for any of the other wands yet, but I had to mention it here because Lelo’s packaging is beautiful and this is a definite pro before you’ve even opened it. In the box you also receive a brooch, storage pouch and your wand, charger and 10 year warranty.

Considering how powerful the Smart Wand is, it’s actually really quiet. You can see this in the video demonstration on the Lovehoney website. It’s a lot quieter than other wands of similar size.

It’s also completely waterproof and submergible so you can massage in the bath!

Cons of the Smart Wand

Ooh the only really con is it’s hefty price tag! I love everything else about this wand. It’s definitely a luxury wand and if it’s within your budget it’s one to seriously consider.

6. The Bodywand Mini Wand Vibrator

bodywand mini vibrator review

This is your wand wild card! It’s the Bodywand Mini wand vibrator and it really is a mini! It’s only 4 inches long. But don’t let it’s size put you off too much, despite it’s size it’s very powerful.

I love this little wand and it’s cute and feminine. I love the jewels, the pink and the packaging. It’s a very low price and I had to include it as one of my top 6 UK magic wand massagers.

bodywand mini vibrator box packaging

It’s made from skin safe plastic, and like other magic wand massagers, has a flexible bendy neck and the traditional ‘head’ of a wand. Because the head is bendy, you can make it vibrate on any parts of your body you like.

The Bodywand Mini is battery-powered and batteries are included which is good. It takes 6 LR44 batteries which you can buy in supermarkets. To insert the batteries you just untwist the base and pop the batteries inside.

The 5 different speeds are also controlled with the twist base. Even though it’s a small wand, it’s still very powerful and is actually really quiet compared to other bigger wands so if volume is important to you, this could be the wand for you.

mini bodywand massager pink

Pros of the Bodywand Mini.

It’s so small that it’s good for beginners who aren’t ready to invest in a bigger more expensive wand, and it’s also good for travelling with as it won’t take up much room in your handbag or suitcase at all.

It’s a very low price and a good option for lower budgets who want to experience the vibrations of a magic wand massager.

It’s super cute! I love the jewel details on the handle and it looks and feels very pink and girly. This is a big contrast to some of the big black traditional magic wand massagers we have looked at earlier!

It’s also quiet compared to much bigger wands, so although it may be small, volume is less and this could be important to you. It would make a lovely little gift and could be an ideal first sex toy as well.

Cons of the Bodywand Mini.

For some people this will be too small a wand, and many will prefer the size of a larger traditional wand. It’s harder to reach other places on your body like your back and shoulders where you want to massage out knots and tension compared to bigger wands that make reaching everywhere easy.

Saying this, it is also very light and therefore easier to hold than a bigger wand and therefore being smaller and lighter isn’t such a bad thing.

It’s battery-powered which means you will need to stock up on some spares.

Other reviewers obviously really liked this wand too, it’s got loads of good reviews on the Lovehoney site. One of my favourite lines in the reviews is:

“It is powerful enough to take her from 0 to OMG quickly” 0 to OMG. Great line! A lot of people are agreeing with me saying not to let it’s size mislead you, it may be small but it’s still very powerful.

Investment: £32.99 from Lovehoney.

In Summary

When deciding on your magic wand massager I suggest you decide how you’d like to use it and what’s important to you.

Do you want something for all over body massage as well as intimate clitoral vibrations?

Is price a deciding factor?

Would you prefer a larger wand or a petite one?

Is volume/sound important to you?

If you have any questions about any of these wands or anything else please leave a comment and I’ll do my best to help you. I’d also love to hear what you thought if you already own any of these wands. Let me know what you think in the comments! Best wishes!
